After a British tabloid published photos of actress Elizabeth Hurley kissing cricket player Shane Warne, both Hurley and Warne, seen together at left, posted statements claiming they have been separated for some time from their spouses.
Hurley posted on Twitter that she and Indian businessman and textile heir Arun Nayar, "separated a few months ago," while Warne's statement said that he and wife Simone broke up "a while ago." After the News of the World published photos of her kissing Warne and reported that the pair spent the night together in a London hotel, Hurley Tweeted the information about her marriage.
"Not a great day," she wrote. "For the record, my husband Arun and I separated a few months ago. Our close family & friends were aware of this." Later she added, "Thank you for all your very, very nice messages x." Hurley and Nayar began dating in 2003 and married in March 2007.
Hurley has an 8-year-old son, Damian, with her ex, Stephen Bing. She dated actor Hugh Grant for 13 years before the pair called it quits in 2000. For his part, Warne also posted a statement on his website saying that he is separated from the mother of his three children. He wrote, "Sadly and unfortunately, Simone and I split up a while ago, our close friends and family were informed at that time. It is a private matter so we did not make it public. We remain friends and will continue to be good parents."
