No sex please... we`re swingers

A DRAMA about swingers has flopped in the ratings - because it has NO SEX.


ITV1 warns viewers to expect "sexual content" in the late-night Swingtown series. But most episodes have passed with no romps at all.


The supposedly racy show, starring Jack Davenport and Molly Parker, has already been axed in the US, where it divebombed in the ratings.


And in the UK it has the lowest audience share of ANY terrestrial channel at that time - Tuesday at 11.35pm - averaging just 250,000 viewers. That is just 3.6 per cent of the telly fans still awake.


One viewer of the show - set in the suburbs of 70s Chicago - moaned: "It is exceedingly tame and quite boring."


Creator Mike Kelley said: "It's about the relationships that develop outside of the sexual moments." But an ITV insider last night insisted: "It definitely heats up and gets steamier." Read more
