A couple’s open marriage of 26 years collapsed after a jealous row.
Heather Lubman was so fed up with her unemployed husband Nigel seeing other women that she dumped a hot dinner in his lap. But Lubman retaliated by grabbing his wife’s wrists then lashing out, giving her a black eye, a court heard.
His solicitor Bill LaHive said Lubman did not realise the situation was so dire. Mr LaHive added: “The only way to refer to it is an open relationship. They are, for want of a better word, swingers. But he still has affection for his family.”
He was given a two year community order and banned from contacting his wife. She is seeking a divorce.
