Kama Sutra Trojan virus anything but sexy

We'd like to think that our readers are savvy enough to avoid opening strange e-mail attachments that claim to be PowerPoint presentations about the Kama Sutra and feature executable file extensions. If you're not so savvy, know that a new piece of malware making the rounds comes in the form of an e-mail attachment called "Real kamasutra.pps.exe."

Open it up, and you'll be presented with a series of slides featuring a couple in several sexual positions. Interestingly, the presentation itself is infection-free. Instead, the creators hope to distract you with the naughty images long enough for it to deliver its malware-laden payload. While you're flipping through photos of a couple gettin' down and dirty, the executable quietly installs a number of trojans and pieces of malware that can snatch up your personal data, steal your identity, and grant hackers access to your PC.

As usual, the best protection is a healthy dose of caution and skepticism. If you get an e-mail with a strange or unexpected attachment, don't open it. Chances are it'll only cause you pain and suffering.
