Canada's answer to Jersey Shore set to offend

A short ‘sizzle reel' of footage from Lake Shore, a Canadian reality TV show modeled after the booze-fueled antics of MTV's hit Jersey Shore series, has hit the internet, offering a taste of the controversies to come.

The clip introduces the show's eight toned stars, each with a nickname reflecting their ethnic background such as "The Pole" or "The Czech." Producers say the show is intended to reflect Toronto's multiculturalism.

But the clip, which was uploaded to YouTube last week, merely highlights the cast's petty differences as they insult each other behind closed doors.
At one point, Sibel ("The Turk"), possibly defending her dislike of Robyn ("The Jew"), denies being a bigot.
"I'm not racist, because you know why? I hate everybody equally," she says. "Especially Jewish people."
Downtown D ("The Albanian") later explains the limit of his tolerance for homosexuality. "You can be gay as long as you don't get anywhere near me," he says.
Responding to media fallout from the clip, which included criticism from the Canadian Jewish Congress, show creator Maryam Rahimi posted to her website that "the show will expose the characters' differences and also highlight the similarities that people from all walks of life share."

"A promo reel is not a true representation of the whole story and should not be interpreted that way," she wrote.
The original clip was pulled from YouTube, citing a copyright claim by the CBC, but another version was uploaded shortly after.
According to the show's official website, Lake Shore has not been picked up by a network.

“It was just one of those things I felt I should do because something like that might never happen again,” the stripper said, while adding, “I know that sounds kind of wrong. I wasn’t going to [go]… but they got one of their bodyguards to come up to me and ask me. So I did.”

Mel has recently opened up about her love for sex, stating:
“We’re a pretty horny couple. We’re young, we both like sex. I’ve always liked sex and I’m going to make the most of it. Read more.

Swingers sex parties are feeling the pinch of the tough economy

You know it's a tough economy when the swinger sex scene is feeling a chill.

Swingers and those curious about the lifestyle sat on sleek black couches beneath big-screen TVs with muted sex scenes. Some attendees stepped behind sheer curtains and onto private nooks' mattresses. But the party remained relatively tame.

A couple lingering near the bar explained that the sluggish economy has thinned out local swinging parties, saying, "If you want to save money, you can stay home and get laid for free."

Like the roaming party, most swinging venues are suffering from the economic malaise. The recession has left both stationary swinging clubs and roaming adult parties with lackluster event attendance and shorter membership lists.

"They used to say sex was an industry that was not affected by the recession -- that's not true," said a anonymous swinger because of privacy concerns. "Everybody -- A to Z in the sex-related industries -- is feeling the pinch."

Emma Watson at the Harry Potter Premiere

The Victoria's Secret Angels weren't the only ones looking SEXY yesterday. Emma Watson was on fire at last night's London premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.

Imma just say it's your best look yet, Em. You and I both know that I wasn't really feeling your piecey fringe, but this, this, my friend is what I'm talking about. The deep side-part and slicked-down strands combo is seriously sexy.

The light wash of dove grey across the lid, lined eyes, a much lighter coating of mascara on the bottom lashes (thanqverymuch for listening, Miss Watson) and the '60s blocked-out lip all work so well together. Read more.

Victorias Secret Parade

Yesterday Victoria’s Secret threw their yearly pre-Christmas pull for attention – a runway spectacular touted as the most fun catwalk in the world. And between the glitter, the knickers, the bright, rich event styling in pink, red and gold and the proliferation of giant-sized wings, it sure was something.

Victorias Secret Parade - Everything you need to know

Held at the Regiment Armory in New York (where Marc Jacobs also shows), the made-for-TV extravaganza was lit, according to The Cut “as though it were a Las Vegas showing of girls.” The announcer repeatedly informed the audience that what they were about to witness was a parade starring the “28 most beautiful women in the world”.

And who were those women? Well, there was the usual mix of Angel staples and high fashion ring-ins. On the angel side of things was Adriana Lima, who opened the show, and wore the $2 million dollar diamond fantasy bra, Alessandra Ambrosio, Karolina Kurkova, Chanel Iman, who closed the show and at one stage sported a space-aged bubble gun and bubble wings, Lily Aldridge, Rose Huntington-Whitely, Selita Ebanks, Candice Swanepoel and Erin Heatherton.  Models used to stalking more sombre catwalks included Lily Donaldson, Magdalena Frackowiak, Anja Rubik, Liu Wen, Shannan Click,

Edita Vilkevieiutë and Lais Ribeiro, while commercial girls yet to gain ‘angel’ status included Julia Stegner and Isabeli Fontana. Off-duty on maternity leave were Dutch girl and very recent bride Doutzen Kroes and a very pregnant Miranda Kerr, who it seems, took the other Australian models with her. There were rumours world number five Abbey Lee Kershaw would walk, and Jess Hart and Elyse Taylor apparently made it to final casting calls too, but no one from down under actually appeared in the show.

As far as star power goes, Katy Perry – no stranger to cleavage – performed along with Akon. She made three costume changes throughout the night, going from a tiny pink miniskirt with embellishment encrusted corset, to a purple, high cut onesie with a long, flared tail, and finally, a paper-doll looking, sunshine yellow Bo Peep dress which she teamed with thigh high, patent black boots. Election Swinger

Curvy would be politician Katarzyna Szczolek is hoping to make her rivals lose their deposits with this sizzling election poster.

Singer Kat - who uses the stage name Sara May - is facing stiff opposition as she stands for office as a councillor in her local authority in Warsaw, Poland, in elections later this month.

Her poster shows the brunette beauty stretched out on a beach wearing just a skimpy bikini with the slogan: "Beautiful, independent, and competent. I live right here with the voters. I walk the same streets, go shopping in the same stores and have the same problems as everyone else," she said.

But the controversial singer who has resorted to snogging female friends on stage to stay in the focus of media attention and bolster her sagging singing career has come in for ridicule in the constituency.

"I can just imagine how she’ll go down when turning up at a council meeting, assuming anyone knows who she is. If she is recognised - which is more than can be said of her songs - it’ll be because she’s wearing a T-shirt with "Pussy" written across the front it," said local man Tomasz Muchy.

In another campaign poster, ‘Kat’ is seen cuddling a puppy alongside the slogan: "Honest, sincere, direct and uncompromising. Who’s she trying to kid," said Muchy. Read more.
